About Me

Hiya! My name is Ngumabih (Mabih for short) but some people who can’t pronounce my African name prefer to call me Rosie. I am a mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I love beautiful things, life, love, nature, simplicity. I started this blog as an outlet to tell my own story. I figured if I didn’t tell it, someone else would, and they would try to distort it and well, preservation is very important to me. Here, I find a way to deal with something that had become a very harsh reality for me at an already difficult time in my life: getting diagnosed with cancer, having to fight through the treatments and everything in between.

My Pink Walk is exactly that. It is a tale of a woman with a zeal to live and an indisputable ambition to succeed. It is a space dedicated to positive vibes, encouragement and, hope. Here, I detail my breast cancer journey: my tears, fears, victories, pains, losses, good days, bad days, and the wonderful medical team, friends, and family that I made along the way, and that walked on this path with me. Here, I share my experiences, not to throw a pity party; rather, to show the resilience and strength that we all encompass and to give a little more understanding to the curious minds of all the loved ones who tried to support me and understand my healing process. (I have something to say about pink below…)

Pink is the color of strength and beauty. That is why Pink is the color dedicated to Breast Cancer. On My Pink Walk, you can walk this journey with me, one step at a time.

I hope that my blog uplifts you, inspires you, encourages you, tickles you, informs you, and blesses you.

With Love ♥ Mabih
